Last week was a strange week..... I had 5 different transactions, 5 penny items, 3 different stores (Target, Publix, and CVS), plus my youngest had his 1 year pictures all in one day. I was going to Target to free Travel size items. I had 4 blinkies $1/1 any Johnson & Johnson product, so I got 4 travel size (they .97 at Target, but Target doesn't give overage). I also had a printable for a travel size of Downy Wrinkle Releaser, so I got 5 (they are $1.97 at Target). The coupon says it's good up to $2.99, so they shouldn't be a problem right..... wrong. At first only one dollar was taken off, so I went back to the cashier and explain it to her. We went to customer service, where they got the manger (which wasn't too happy about this) and they reimbursed my money. What an ordeal over nothing. I didn't do as well at Publix, I got a few things I don't normally get: dog food and batteries, but I did have coupons at least. I spent $80.64 and saved $106.08.

Yeah another $5 off $25 coupon. You can only print 2 because it's a Red Plum coupon. It expires 5/31/10. So print 2 and save 1 or save 2 or use both.... whatever. Hopefully it will reset in May and we can get 2 more.

I got a freezer, I got a freezer.... okay that's enough. I have wanted a chest freezer for a while now, but we lived in apartments and no where to put one. Ever since we bought a house I want to get one, but we had to wait for our tax return money to come in. Well it came and we went shopping. We got this freezer (now I can stock up more, yeah), a lawnmower, and a weedeater/trimmer. My lawn looks great, thanks to my wonderful husband and I got a place to store more food for the family.
I came across something like this this week. I picked up a coupon booklet FULL of coupons I can use at Publix as a competitor. The problem is they had coupons printed on back of coupons. If you only need one of the coupons, then no problem. BUT I needed both of the coupons on one of them. So I had to choose. I hate that.
This trip was as awesome as past trips, but I still saved more than I spent.... so. I would have had 4 transactions and 4 penny items, but I couldn't because I find something. So I only had 3 transactions... mainly so I could use 3 of those Rite Aid coupons before they expired that day. When I add up all three... I spent $54.15 and saved $81.24. I had to get a rain-check on my Cheerios, because they were out. The nice thing is I had 3 store Qs (exp 4/4) and 3 manf Qs (exp 4/3) and they stapled them to the rain-check so I can still use them... I have 1 month. So when I'm able to get them I'll pay .45 for 3 boxes of cereal; too cool. I found a few things that made my list.
