My 1st "CVSing" trip

I kept hearing about people that go "CVSing" and I wanted to know how. So I went to Southern Savers and found out how. You may want to after I tell you about this trip. I had 2 different transactions...

first transaction

• 2- Huggies diapers for 2/$17.98 (on sale normally 2/$23.98)
• when you buy 2 Huggies diaper you get $5 ECB (Extra Care Bucks- CVS money)
• coupons used- 2 $3 off 1 Huggies diapers
• my total.... $13.42

second transaction

• 1 Gillette Power Fusion Razor- $11.99
• 1 Gillette Power Fusion Razor refill 4ct- $15.99
• when you buy 2 Gillette Power Fusion items you get $5 ECB
• coupons used- 1/$4 off Gillette Fusion razor, 1 buy 1 Gillette Fusion refill get the razor for free, 1 $5ECB (from transaction 1)
• my total before coupons $27.98...... total after coupons $9.23
• plus I got another $5 ECB for another day

A Really, Really Early BOGO

Due to the fact Publix is closed on Sunday for Easter, the new BOGO/sales won't start until April 5th. They do this when ever there is a holiday they are closed. So last week's sale will carry over until Saturday, the 3rd and the new one will start the 5th. I'm not sure about the "penny item" for this week, when I find that out I'll let you know. For all of you that say you "I don't enough time." Well not this week you have the rest of this week for last week's sale to get what you need and you have this whole week to prepare for next's weeks sale. Which will run until the 13th; so you should be ready.

Fun Friday

I have noticed something. You can spot the children of couponers. They know not to ask for something in the store unless it's on sale and/or Mom has a coupon. While my children were in the tub a few nights ago, my oldest ask "Is shampoo on sale?". My husband over heard what he said, he told me I was corrupting our children. In some way it's nicer in the store now, because my child knows I don't like to buy anything unless it's on sale and/or I have a coupon. I'm not corrupting; I'm creating budge friendly men.

Starting Sunday you will find a new booklet of in store coupons at Walgreens. Remember these coupons can be used with manufacturer coupons to help you save even more.

These booklets are kept with the weekly ads as you walk in the door.

My Shopping Trip for the Week

This week took a little more preparing than usual. I wanted to use as many Rite Aid Coupons as I could because they exp on the 31 of this month. So as I was adding up each of the items (before coupons) once I reach $25 I clipped the coupons I needed for those items together with the RA coupon. I had 3 transactions, 3 RA coupons, and 3 penny item coupons. How cool was that? There were a few things that made My Really Cool Savings list. The main thing I did was stock up on some toiletries for us. So my totals after the 3 transactions were: spent $74.26 and saved was $137.91. Not to bad, this trip.
