I got my Coupons in the Mail

I made my first order from Coupon Clippers on Sunday, and got my order on Wednesday. I paid $9.34 for them, but I got so much more than what I paid for... I got 45 coupons with a savings value of $98.44. So I saved $89.10 when I buy these items. I bought coupons that I know I'm going to use and most of these items are on sale now, so I'm stocking up on meds for the boys mainly. This is a great place to get coupons you can't find out there in the coupon world and it really doesn't cost a whole lot to buy them and they ship every Tuesday. The coupons that matched up with the sales, I'm going to spread out over the next 2 weeks. It's going to be about $18 each time, but that's a lot of savings. I'll let you know what I get and what I save.

My Weekly Publix Trip

Yesterday was a rainy day outside. When we left it wasn't, but on the way home it was. Thankfully, God held off the rain long enough so I could get inside with groceries and kids. I bought a few items that made "My Really Cool Savings" list. A friend of mine came to shop with me so I could teach/help her start couponing again. She did well for her first time. She saved more than she spent so that's great. It's fun to watch someone do that for the first time. Hopefully next week's BOGO list will be better than this weeks. I am going to Winn Dixie to get some meat that is BOGO there. They usually have better meats that BOGO than Publix does. I love Publix but you go where you save the most money.

Monday Madness

New BOGOs

The new BOGOs are up at IHP (click here). There are many good BOGOs this week, but nothing we need here at my house. I know my mom will be excited about the 8 o'clock coffee going BOGO. I think this is going to be a little shopping trip for us. Maybe next week's BOGOs will do more for me than this week's. I really want Welch's grape juice to go on BOGO before the 20th of March.

Coupon Swap

Tomorrow is my monthly coupon swap with the parenting/play group that I attend. We meet each month and swap coupons while the children play on the indoor playground at McD's. I usually get some good coupons when I go, and get rid of coupons I don't need or want. That is a great way to get coupons you may need/want. Gather your friends each month (works better more towards the beginning, before coupons expire) and swap away. This way you aren't throwing away good coupons that someone else might need and you get a few you may have missed or have used up already. This is also a great time to swap tips, stories, and/or ideas about better couponing.

50% off ALL Kellogg's Cereal

I am already getting ready for this. Finding coupons to make them even cheaper. Who doesn't need more cereal? We go through a lot of cereal, especially now that my youngest is eating it all the time for breakfast or snacks. I know IHP (click here) has match ups that you can find. Some are printables. Go stock up on Kellogg's cereal, I'm going to.

Fun Friday

I found this cartoon and just laughed. My husband use to give a "hard" time about coupons and would tease me about going "crazy" over coupons. Until he came shopping one time and saw the numbers for himself. That trip was a good trip, we saved about $90 and spent a little over $20. He was amazed and impressed. What was even funnier was the man behind us "whisper" to his wife, "Did you see how much she saved?" That was the first time that happened to me. Saving money is important, and it can be fun and full of laughter too.

Saving More than Spending

Where do I start, let's see... as I was getting my list/budge it ready for the shopping trip to Publix, I figured I was going to probably spend somewhere between $50 and $60 after coupons. Which that in itself it's bad. So I stayed to my list, got maybe a few things that weren't on my list, but I figured I would be okay. I get to the check out line & freak myself out at first. I looked down and my bill was over $70 dollars, then I realized she wasn't finished with coupons, whew. When she finished putting in all the coupons my bill was $40.47 and I saved $166.72. That was so cool. I had 59 coupons worth over $100, plus my store savings. I don't know about you, but that's a lot of coupons for that poor woman to click. I even "prank" texted my husband and had him thinking I spent a lot of money. This was my BEST trip ever. I LOVE COUPONS!!! When I got home, I unpacked everything, put it on the counter and took a picture. That was over $200 worth of groceries for $40. You can't beat that. I had a lot of good coupons, but the item that sticks out the most is the deal I got was on Oscar Mayer Lunchables Subs. They were on sale 10/$10. (At Publix you don't have to buy 10 to get them for a dollar.) As I passed them, I remember I had a coupon for something like that, so I looked. The coupon was $1 off 1 and I had 10 of them. Those coupons were peelies on the macaroni n cheese box I bought last week and the week before. Cool, I got 10 of those lunchable things for free. That was a nice find. New Coupon Books

There has been talk on IHP and SS about 2 coupon books Publix should have. I found them today and grab a few. That was a nice find at the beginning of my shopping adventure. The nice thing about those books are the fact that I will be ablt to use most of the coupons in them. Sometimes when I find a coupon book I can only use a few of the many in the booklet. I'm looking forward to going through them and getting match ups that go with them, to save even more.
