The Penny Item for this week is Publix brand quick oats. If its a good item I know my family will use, I try to break up my transactions, so I can get more penny items. Some stores require you to have a coupon for each penny item, so make sure you print off more from the The State newspaper from South Carolina.This week the coupon is on A12. Sneak Peek Time

The new ad looks pretty good. For those of you who practice Halloween there is quite bit of candy to choose from. I'm excited to be able to stock up on some soup and cereal.

MEAT

Myself and 3 others went in together to by 80lbs of meat. We each paid (after taxes) $31.50 for 20lbs of 80/20 ground chuck. We won't need to buy ground beef for a while her at my house. I cut, bagged and stored 40lbs yesterday... 20lbs of it was my moms and the other was mine.

.... spaghetti, tacos, chili, .... what else? I have never had this much ground beef before. We think we are going to try to buy meat like this more often (when we need it) in a large lot size.
